Maguire Prevails for Second Time in a Single Month

In a jury trial in Fulton County Supreme Court, Rich Maguire, Esq. obtained another successful verdict on behalf of the Maguire Cardona, PC client. In the second successful verdict in May, 2017, Mr. Maguire obtained a unanimous jury verdict in a case that involved complex medical and evidentiary issues in obstetrics and pediatric neurology.

Richard R. Maguire, Esq. Again Prevails at Trial

Following one of the lengthier trials this year in Albany County Supreme Court, Rich Maguire, Esq. successfully defended his client in complex litigation.

The subject matter involved expert testimony in the fields of emergency medicine, neurosurgery and neuroradiology.

After a trial that lasted into the fourth week, the jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of the Maguire Cardona, PC clients.

Following one of the lengthier trials this year in Albany County Supreme Court, Rich Maguire, Esq. successfully defended his client in complex litigation.

Civil Trial Continuing Legal Education Seminar Presented by Richard R. Maguire, Esq.

On July 21, 2016, Richard R. Maguire, Esq. was the featured speaker at the Albany County Bar Association’s CLE titled “How to Prepare for a Civil Trial-Perspectives from a Seasoned Trial Attorney,” hosted by the Young Lawyers Committee. Rich shared tips for how to most efficiently organize and prepare for trial testimony of lay witnesses and expert witnesses, the submission of pre-trial motions, how to prepare for objections to videotaped deposition testimony and ways to effectively utilize demonstrative and other exhibits for the jury.

The program was well attended by both new and experienced attorneys and provided helpful insight for all practice areas of litigation.

MAGUIRE, ESQ. CONTINUES TO VOLUNTEER TO HELP HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Founding partner, Richard R. Maguire, Esq. continues to give back to our community. Richard is the lead volunteer to help coach the Bethlehem High School Mock Trial Team.

Nearly thirty (30) Bethlehem High School students have joined the Team and are all dedicated and enthusiastic to participate. Practices are held in an actual court room to help the students prepare for a trial in February, 2016. The time consuming club provides the students with a unique opportunity to receive training directly from local judges and lawyers, including Richard.

Along with other attorney advisers, the students will learn trial tactics as well as important ethical considerations.

Bethlehem High School was the Albany County champion in the past and hopes to continue with similar success in 2016.

The Mock Trial Team is excellent training for high school students, many of whom go on to attend outstanding universities.
