A warm welcome and introduction to our summer law clerk, Petra Kelly!
Petra Kelly attends Albany Law School and University at Albany, working towards a JD and MPA. She holds a BS in Psychology, with a minor in Music, from Texas Woman's University.
She believes in leveraging community resources to address local needs. Before living in Albany, Petra educated local Texans about local homeless shelter practices and helped address food and clothing insecurity. She believes access to healthy housing is a human right that demands a holistic view through a lens of public health and disability justice. Housing justice intersects with Petra’s other interests, including immigration, family law, criminal justice, disability law, the environment, urban planning, and economic development.
When Petra is not consumed by school or clerking, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and their dog, Peanut Butter. She is also a classically trained violinist and still performs with local bands or for special occasions.
