Wrapped three cases up last week and got two more today. Nice to have before the summer slow-down!

Yikes!

Yikes!

Even a tiny amount of fentanyl is 'more than enough to kill anyone that it comes into contact with,' a Tennessee sheriff warned.

When I was a kid and there was a fight in school, there was routinely only one question ever asked, which was "who threw the first punch." In our modern society, we have managed to become more enlightened in some ways, and this is one of them. Assault can legally occur long before any physical attack has been launched, which is why many states (not Oregon), differentiate the two by Assault or battery.

Asking a young kid who threw the first punch, and calling that an investigation, is woefully inadequate. The child that did the punching may have been responding to a threat, or a series of threats, and would therefore be legally justified in defending themselves.

So if you are a parent of one of these kids, ask questions and make sure you understand all the facts before you act. Maybe they punched first because they have been living in fear for days, weeks, even months, and when the person(s) issuing those threats got within arms reach, they reacted out of self-preservation and fear--allowable under the law. There are usually better ways to handle it, but that's not always possible, as I saw in a recent case. Be involved parents and educators, dig for those facts that truly tell the complete story. It can require patience, but justice requires accuracy above all else.

While the bulk of my work is centered around the education industry, or criminal cases, occasionally I'm given the opportunity to branch out and provide a service with a happy ending. Today I was hired to reunite a parent with a child they put up for adoption many years ago. This is one area where being in the Information Age is a great time to be alive!🔮

Two more investigations completed, and I picked up another one the same day. Perfect timing!

Started another criminal case today, as well as a case for a school district.

Variety is the spice of life, as they say. I'm happy to be starting a couple of new cases today, and expanding into criminal cases as well.

I thought I'd pass this along to folks in the Albany community, after seeing it on some other apps. There are two individuals in town to be aware of. The first is a young latino gentleman who is kicking in doors to get into houses, presumably to rob them. Another individual is posing as an Albany Water employee to gain access to people's apartment's and homes. Please be prepared, alert, and safe!--Clint

As we get closer to the fourth of July holiday, let's remember a few things to keep everyone safe. First, fireworks are fun, and we all love them, but they have some unintended side effects that we often overlook. The fire risk, especially after a blistering heat wave, can lead to devastating outcomes.

Secondly, let's remember that for many of our friends, neighbors, and loved-ones, those bangs and booms can trigger significant negative responses from those suffering from anxiety, PTSD and other medical conditions. This is especially common in members of our military.

Lastly, those loud noises can have very harmful effects on our pets, who are often terrified by the noises and could run away, or run into traffic in a panic. Please be respectful of the needs of everyone around you, both human and animal, and have a fun, but safe holiday.
