Destructive Testing: Protecting New Communities

Many construction defects are latent—hidden issues that exist at the time of construction but are not immediately observable. In newly constructed condominium communities, these latent defects often remain concealed behind walls, balconies, and building components until serious damage occurs.

Destructive testing allows experts to investigate beyond surface conditions to uncover these hidden problems, including improper waterproofing, missing flashing, and building code violations.

For buildings constructed within the last 10 years, early investigation is CRITICAL. Identifying defects now helps Associations preserve evidence and understand the full scope of damage. Today we honor and thank all veterans for their service including C&I's own Nicole J. Soria, Esq.

Ms. Soria served as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps from 2008-2012. Ms. Soria deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 as a Female Engagement Team Leader on the first all-female unit of Marines (II Marine Expeditionary Forces) to deploy into combat fully embedded into Marine Infantry Battalions. She also created and led a Female Search Team program in Afghanistan, which recruited and trained female marines for specialized security operations in Helmand Province.
