Seeking a legal assistant with prior immigration law office experience, but willing to train the right candidate. Must:
• Be bilingual in both written and spoken Spanish.
• Possess strong attention to detail;
• Initiative;
• Problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work efficiently and independently; and
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability
to meet deadlines.
Administrative duties include but not limited to:
• Answering phones;
• Setting appointments;
• Greeting clients; and conducting intakes;
• Photocopying, organizing documents, and filing.
Legal duties include but not limited to:
• Research;
• Translating documents from Spanish to English and vice
versa; and
• Preparing legal documents and filings under attorney
direction.
The position is part-time (25-35 hours per week) with the potential for full-time employment as the firm continues to grow. Compensation is competitive. We want someone that is seeking a two [2] year commitment at minimum in the position.
