In 2014 Joey was studying for his real estate exam as we had planned to someday open our own office together, then suddenly he fell sick and was diagnosed with Cancer. For all of us and I know him for sure it was devastating news, but he always took it in

stride and maintained his positivity and continued to help others. Joey was not only my son but we both shared the fact that we were also best friends. I lost my son and best friend to cancer on my wife's and my 31st Wedding Anniversary, Nov 17 2015. From a young age Joey always enjoyed working with me and I enjoyed having him by my side. We struggled for months about what we should do to honor such a good man. Finally after some research into non profits and other ideas, I told my wife, Laura, that I wanted to open up a Real Estate Office as I did not want his and my dream to pass with him. I began my search, I needed something that would truly honor Joey. If you did not know Joey, he was LIFE, he really had mastered so many things about life at a young age that many loved him. In my search I not only came across REMAX, but also discovered several important factors about them: 1. ENTREPRENEUR Magazine named REMAX as #10 of ALL franchises to one of any category. This was not only impressive, but this next reason is what clinched it for me. 3. REMAX has an ongoing partnership with Children's Miracle Network, that gives each franchise owner the opportunity to work with their local Children's Hospital to donate from our sales commission to out local Hospital Direct. This was what really sold me on REMAX, and the fact that there was none near, was a bonus. So from every sale of a property, our office is committed to donating a portion of our commission to UCSF Children's Hospital Oakland. In turn they send Honor Cards to our clients letting them know that a donation has been made in their honor. This is what drives me to do the best job possible for my clients.
