Today, we join law enforcement agencies across the nation in mourning the tragic loss of a Carroll County Sheriff’s Office deputy who was killed in the line of duty while answering a call for service.

Every day, deputies and officers put on the badge knowing the risks that come with protecting their communities. They answer calls for help without hesitation, standing between danger and those they serve.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office extends our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the fallen deputy. We also pray for the injured deputy’s full recovery and for strength and comfort for the entire Carroll County Sheriff’s Office during this difficult time.

Please keep all law enforcement officers, first responders, and their families in your thoughts and prayers.
