Application for Refugee Sponsorship

As of May 1, 2018, new forms and guides have come into effect for the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) Program. In order to accommodate those who have already completed the old versions of the forms, previous versions of the forms will continue to be accepted until June 1, 2018.
Old versions of the Schedule 2–Refugees Outside Canada [IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 2] will continue to be accepted until December 31, 2018. Please note that applications submitted with incorrect versions of the forms will be returned to you without processing.

Halkaan kaga Bogo qaababka loo xareeyo dacwadaha group 5 ee Canada

A Group of Five (G5) is five or more Canadian citizens or permanent residents who have arranged to sponsor a refugee living abroad to come to Canada.
G5s may only sponsor applicants who are recognized as refugees by either the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) or a foreign state. The principal applicant MUST already have refugee status. Having refugee status means that an authorized body has found that an individual meets its refugee definition. This authorized body can either be the UNHCR or the government of the country (i.e., foreign state) where the refugee is now living.
You must include the document proving recognized refugee status with the refugee sponsorship application you submit.

Family reunion visa applications
As of 1 st January 2019 , all Somali visa applicants wishing to apply for family reunion with a family member (a refugee or a person with subsidiary protection in Belgium) will have to submit their visa applications in Nairobi (Kenya)! This is irrespective of your own personal status (refugee, resident etc) in Uganda.
This practically means:
The Belgian Visa Application Center (VFS) in Kampala will only receive and handle applications from Somali visa applicants until the end of this year 2018, in essence the applicants who have already booked an appointment until 31 st December .
Appointments that were made at VFS Kampala from 1st January 2019 onwards will be cancelled and clients advised to transfer their visa applications to Nairobi, details on the visa procedure in Nairobi can be found on the website of the Embassy of Belgium in Kenya via

All visa applications and appointments need to be made through the TLS - Belgian Visa Application Centre website instead of through the Embassy.
