🔍 How to Check a Work Permit Copy?
If someone sends you a scanned copy of a work permit, don’t rely on the document at first glance. Here are a few things you should check:
✅ Image quality
A genuine scan should be clear and high-resolution. Blurred text, pixelation, or poor editing may indicate that the document has been altered.
✅ Fonts and formatting
Pay attention to whether all text uses the same font, spacing, and alignment. Different fonts, uneven lines, or inconsistent formatting can be warning signs.
✅ Logos and official elements
Official logos, seals, and signatures should appear sharp and natural. Low-quality or distorted graphics may suggest manipulation.
✅ Personal information
Check that the candidate’s name, passport details, employer information, and job position are consistent throughout the document package.
✅ Signs of editing
Look closely for mismatched backgrounds, overlapping text, unusual shadows, or areas that appear copied and pasted.
✅ Metadata (if available)
If you receive the original PDF rather than a screenshot, you may be able to view its metadata, such as the creation date or the software used. While this doesn’t prove authenticity, it can sometimes reveal obvious signs of editing.
⚠️ Remember: A scanned copy alone cannot confirm that a work permit is genuine. The most reliable оverification comes from reviewing the complete document package and working with a trusted recruitment partner.
At VISARO, we carefully review every document before it is provided to our partners.
