⚡️ Ukrainian Dual Citizenship law is effective from January 16th 2026
As of now only it applies to citizens of these 5 countries: 👇
🇺🇸 United States
🇨🇦 Canada
🇩🇪 Germany
🇵🇱 Poland
🇨🇿 Czech Republic
If you are a citizen of one of these five countries and also hold another citizenship (for example, 🇺🇸 USA + 🇮🇱 Israel), you will still be required to renounce Israeli citizenship.
📚 Citizens of these 5 countries anyway must pass exams on:
• the Constitution of Ukraine
• Ukrainian history
• the Ukrainian language
📝 There are formal criteria for adding countries to this list, but the decision is made by the Ukrainian Government. This means the list can be amended relatively quickly if there is political will.
