it is always vital to remember that human rights education remains an absolute necessity as it was articulated by the following personalities.
Malcolm X: Emphasized education’s role in the struggle for human rights and the rediscovery of identity.
Ann Cotton: Recognized that girls’ education is a fundamental human right that yields transformative benefits for the individual, the family, and society.
Mahatma Gandhi: Advised us to live as if we were to die tomorrow, but to learn as if we were to live forever.
Michelle Obama: Highlighted that the ability to read, write, analyze, and demand justice begins with a quality education.
Lord Brougham: Noted that education makes a people easy to lead, but difficult to drive; easy to govern, but impossible to enslave.
Franklin D. Roosevelt: Identified education as the ultimate safeguard of democracy.
I firmly believe that to build a society rooted in mutual respect, the culture of human rights and human dignity, we must integrate human rights education into every stage of development. This should begin in kindergarten and continue through the university level, established as a compulsory course for all students. University Tanzania Human Rights Defenders Coalition
