Pingamizi inaweza kuwekwa kwa sababu mbalimbali, k**a vile kulinda maslahi ya kisheria au ya kimkataba, au kuzuia uuzaji wa ardhi bila ridhaa ya mmiliki mwenza. Pia sheria imeweka taratibu za kuondoa pingamizi, ambapo pingamizi linaweza kuondolewa na mtu aliyeweka pingamizi, Msajili wa Ardhi kwa maombi ya mhusika, au kwa amri ya mahak**a. Na ikiwa kuna mgogoro kuhusu pingamizi, suala hilo linaweza kupelekwa mahak**ani kwa ajili ya uamuzi. This is requirement was brought forth by the Tanzania Government through two key legislative measures:

1. The Income Tax (Registration of Non-Resident Electronic Service Providers) Regulations, 2022; and
