1. INTRODUCTION:
LAW’S EMPIRE TANZANIA [LETAN] & CO. ADVOCATES (MAWAKILI) herein will be referred to as “LAW EMPIRE & CO. ADVOCATES”/ “LAWS EMPIRE & CO. ADVOCATES” is a law firm (Law Chamber) having its office within the city centre of Arusha in Tanzania. Arusha was labeled as “Geneva of Africa” by the former United Stated President, Bill Clinton when he came to Arusha in the year 2000 to witness the brokered Burundi peace talks that was presided by Nelson Mandela, the former President of South Africa held at AICC (Arusha International Conference Centre). The firm was established on the 18th day of February, 2013, and the same was incorporated under The Business Names (Registration) Act (CAP. 213) R.E. 2002 and the Law of Contract Act (CAP. 345) R.E. 2019 of the Laws of Tanzania with REGISTRATION NO. 278889 by BRELA with TIN NO. 123-845-021, VRN NO. 400 405 90R.
2. LOCATION:
The LAW EMPIRE & CO. ADVOCATES main office was located within the OTTU building along Azimio Road from 18th February 2013 to 19th May, 2013. Then had shifted to Arusha City Complex Building along Swahili Road and existed there from 19th May, 2013 to 21st April, 2023. Then on 21st April, 2023 shifted to our current location at Asim Building (Jambo Plastic Premises) bearing: Plot No. 46, Block “I” Area “F”, Floor No. 01, Office No. 3, Bondeni Street, Azimio Road, House No. 11, Next to Light House Electrical, Adjacent to Dubai Fashion, close to Arusha Central Market, within the Arusha City Centre. This location is at the heart/ hub of the city of Arusha, close to many government departments like AICC (Arusha International Conference Centre), financial institutions like BOT (Arusha), TANAPA Head-Quarters, Corporate offices and International Organizations like East African Community (EAC) Head-Quarters and its Parliament, United Nations (UN), ICTR (International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda), African Court of Human Rights and the like.

5. THE SCOPE OF OPERATIONS:
The LAW EMPIRE & CO. ADVOCATES law chamber deals with all and any legal services including: Advocates Activities (Representation in Civil and Criminal Cases/Litigations in Courts and Tribunals and the like), Notaries Public Activities (Representation, Preparations, Inspection of all categories of Legal Documents e.g. Contracts/ Agreements, Powers of Attorneys, Legal letters like Demand Notices etc). We work as Commissioners for Oaths, Legal Consultants, and Trainers in Law for various institutions in need as in the form of Courses, Workshops, Lectures and/or Seminars, and we are Socio – Legal Authors as well. We generally conduct all activities normally done by the firms of Advocates in Tanzania in the field of law generally.
6. AREAS OF PRACTICE:
LAW EMPIRE & CO. ADVOCATES is organized in areas of specialty so as to allow the Partners and Lawyers to develop expertise in specific areas while meeting clientele practical and commercial needs in line with vision and mission, LAW EMPIRE & CO. ADVOCATES provides legal services especially but not limited to the following areas: Corporate and Commercial Law (Business Law), Land law and Conveyance, Tax law, Banking and Finance Law, Non Governmental Organizations/Civil Societies Law, Labour/Employment Law, Intellectual Property Law, Investment Laws, Trusts
Services, and General litigation in Criminal and Civil matters including labour issues, Arbitration and Mediation and the like.
8. THE FIRM STRUCTURE, STAFFS AND FACILITIES:
The LAW EMPIRE & CO. ADVOCATES is owned, operated and constituted with two Partners who are well qualified and experienced for more than fourteen (14) years. These two Learned Professional Lawyers (Advocates) are namely: Mr. M. as Managing Partner (Managing Director/ CEO) and Mr. KISILWA, Z. as Operations Partner (Operations Director) both, with proper attitude and motivation in Legal Discipline (Profession), two legal officers and one supporting staff and one office secretary. We reasonably have good storage of important documents and archives as well as legal library of not less than 350 text books in the form of hard and soft copies.
10. THE CATEGORIES OF OUR CLIENTS:
The firm has three categories of clients, these are:
10.1. AD-HOC BASIS CLIENTS:
These are clients who are on the basis of “PAY ON THE SPOT AGREEMENT” (PSA). This means, they consult us where and when the legal need arises, and they pay us after we serve them for any service needed by them on their demand from us.
10.2. RETAINERSHIP BASIS CLIENTS:
These are clients who are on the basis of “MONTHLY PAY AGREEMENT” (MPA). This means, they pay us the fixed amount in every monthly basis, irrespective of the cost of services offered.
10.3. INSURANCE BASIS CLIENTS:
These are clients who pre-pay us on the basis of “ANNUALLY PAY AGREEMENT” (APA) in the form of Insurance for any legal risks. This means, they pay us the fixed annual fees, irrespective of the cost of services offered even if costed expensively in a given year.

12. FEES STRUCTURE:
The LAW EMPIRE & CO. ADVOCATES fees structure is charged on job basis where a job can be priced basing on the expertise and the expected time for the job but below market value. Otherwise the fees to be charged may be arrived at on mutual discussion taking into consideration the nature of the job. The fees to be charged relate to the expertise and it excludes other reimbursable costs if any which will be accounted and paid for separately.

ADVOCATES can also assist any clients/ customers to afford their services.
