মুক্তিযুদ্ধ বিষয়ক মন্ত্রণালয়ের মাননীয় মন্ত্রী জনাব আহমেদ আযম খান ১২ মে ২০২৬ তারিখে ব্যাংককের ভেজথানি হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন আহত জুলাইযোদ্ধাদের দেখতে যান। এ সময় তিনি আহত জুলাইযোদ্ধাদের চিকিৎসা বিষয়ক খোঁজখবর নেন এবং বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে মতবিনিময় করেন। এ সময় বাংলাদেশের মান্যবর রাষ্ট্রদূত এবং দূতাবাস ও ভেজথানি হাসপাতালের কর্মকর্তারা উপস্থিন ছিলেন।

Today, the Embassy of Bangladesh in Bangkok, in collaboration with UN ESCAP, ITD, and BFTI organized the seminar titled “Enhancing Bangladesh–Thailand Economic Engagement: Challenges, Opportunities, and the Way Forward in the Future Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Process” at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), Bangkok.

The seminar brought together policymakers, diplomats, trade experts, business leaders, academics, and development partners from Bangladesh and Thailand to exchange views on trade, investment, connectivity, and the future prospects of a Bangladesh–Thailand FTA.

Discussions highlighted the immense potential for expanding bilateral trade and investment, strengthening regional value chains, and fostering deeper economic cooperation between the two friendly nations. 🇧🇩🤝🇹🇭

H.E. the Ambassador attended the Official Credential Handover Ceremony of Ms. Oknha Sreat Mom Sophear as the Honorary Consul of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in the Kingdom of Cambodia, and the Bangladesh-Cambodia Engagement Forum, held at Novotel Phnom Penh on Tuesday, 28 April 2026.

The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and attended by members of the Diplomatic Corps, government officials, business leaders, and representatives of various organizations.

A rich cultural showcase highlighted the vibrant heritage of Bangladesh, featuring a photography exhibition by Photographer Mr. David Lau on the natural beauty of Bangladesh, a Jamdani textile exhibition, live Bangladeshi music performed by Singer Mr. Samir Obaid, and an array of traditional Bangladeshi cuisine.

The appointment of the first Honorary Consul of Bangladesh in Cambodia marks a significant milestone in advancing bilateral relations, enhancing institutional collaboration, and fostering greater business engagement between Bangladesh and Cambodia.

গত ৪-৫ এপ্রিল ২০২৬ তারিখে কম্বোডিয়ার নমপেনে অনুষ্ঠিত কনস্যুলার ক্যাম্পে আবেদনকৃত ১৪৩টি পাসপোর্টের মধ্যে নিম্নোক্ত ১১৯টি পাসপোর্ট ব্যাংককে পৌঁছেছে। মে মাসের দ্বিতীয় সপ্তাহে অথবা নিকটবর্তী সময়ে দূতাবাসের একজন কর্মকর্তা অবশিষ্ট পাসপোর্টসহ (প্রাপ্তি সাপেক্ষে) বিতরণের উদ্দেশ্যে নমপেন যাবেন।

H.E. the Ambassador had a meeting with H.E. KEM Sithan, Permanent Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce, and H.E. Samheng Bora, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral trade, exploring the possibility of launching a direct Dhaka-Phnom Penh flight, and convening the first Joint Trade Council (JTC) meeting between the two countries.
