🌏 Future Action Summit 2026
Once again, we are pleased to look back on this year’s Future Action Summit in Bangkok and to express our sincere appreciation to all partners, speakers, facilitators, and young delegates who contributed to its success.
From May 7–10, we had the pleasure of co-hosting the Summit together with Echo Change — a global youth-led organization working to advance the UN SDGs — and our valued colleagues at Mahidol University International College (MUIC).
Following our successful first collaboration with Echo Change last year, this marked the second time we were invited to co-host the Summit. In line with the Future Action Summit format, the program brought together young participants from different countries and backgrounds to explore practical approaches to sustainable development, youth leadership, climate action, responsible business, social solidarity, and global cooperation beyond 2030.
Across panels, workshops, simulations, and interactive sessions, participants exchanged ideas, developed project perspectives, and contributed to the Youth Charter for Post-2030 Global Development, the central project at the heart of the Future Action Summit.
We were grateful to welcome contributions from the following speakers, panelists, moderators, and facilitators, listed in order of appearance throughout the program:
- Samantha Papavasiliou, Adjunct Senior Research Fellow, James Cook University
- Hiba Ikram, Lead Trainer & Director of Communications, Echo Change
- Hussain Haider Jhatla, Executive Director, Echo Change
- Victor P. Karunan, Ph.D., International Consultant, UNICEF and UN Agencies in South and Southeast Asia
- Professor Stephen Boyle, Vice President (Education), Monash University Malaysia
- Deekana T. Kaiser, PhD, Programme Director, International Relations and Global Affairs Programme, MUIC
- Dr. Carmen Reaiche, Associate Professor of Project Management, James Cook University
- Lucas Meier, Program Manager, CPG
- Lucio Valerio Sarandrea, PhD, Child Protection Specialist on Climate Justice, UNICEF’s Global Center of Excellence
- Dr. Prapaporn Tivayanond Mongkhonvanit, Thailand Representative, ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children
- Prae Piromya, President, Corporate Responsibility & Ethics Association for Thai Enterprises (CREATE)
- Jessica Aung, Project Lead, Partners in Transformation Desk, South East Asia, DEG Impulse
- Dr. Roman Meinhold, Associate Professor of Philosophy, MUIC
- Thaevan Uthaivath, Chairman of the CSR & Sustainability Committee, TATA Steel (Thailand) Public Company Limited
Our sincere thanks go to Echo Change, MUIC, all speakers, facilitators, partners, and especially the young delegates whose engagement and contributions shaped the discussions throughout the summit.
