Royal Ploughing Ceremony is an important Thai royal ceremony related to agriculture. Its full name is the “Royal Ploughing Ceremony and Farmer’s Day.” It is held annually in May to bring prosperity and good fortune to agriculture and to encourage Thai farmers.
📌 Importance of the Royal Ploughing Ceremony

1. To bring good fortune to agriculture
The ceremony is believed to bless the farming season with abundant crops, sufficient rainfall, and food security for the country.

2. To encourage and honor farmers
Thailand has long been an agricultural society, so the ceremony recognizes the importance of farmers and supports their morale.

3. To preserve Thai culture and traditions
This ancient ceremony dates back to the Sukhothai period and reflects the close relationship between the Thai monarchy and the people.

4. Agricultural predictions and forecasts
During the ceremony, sacred oxen choose from various foods and drinks. Their choices are used to predict rainfall, crop yields, and the economic outlook for the year.

The ceremony is traditionally held at Sanam Luang, and the day is also recognized as Thailand’s National Farmers’ Day.

📌 Muhammad Ali Mosque is one of the most important historical and architectural landmarks in Egypt. Its key information is as follows:

🕌 General Information
▪️Location: Inside the Cairo Citadel, Cairo
▪️Built by: Muhammad Ali Pasha
▪️Construction period: Approximately 1830 – 1848
▪️Also known as: “Alabaster Mosque”

🏛️ History
This mosque was built to:

▪️Serve as a memorial to Muhammad Ali’s son, Tusun Pasha
▪️Demonstrate the power and grandeur of Egypt’s ruler at that time
▪️Replace earlier structures of the Mamluk dynasty within the citadel

In addition, Muhammad Ali Pasha himself is buried inside the mosque.

🏗️ Architectural Features
▪️Built in the Ottoman architectural style, similar to mosques in Turkey
▪️Features a large central dome surrounded by several smaller domes
▪️Has two minarets approximately 80–84 meters tall
▪️Both the interior and exterior are decorated with alabaster stone, giving the mosque its distinctive and elegant appearance

🏛️ The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

This museum (commonly referred to as NMEC) is one of the most important cultural attractions in Egypt. It is located in the Fustat district of Cairo and is the first museum in the country to present a comprehensive overview of Egyptian civilization—from prehistoric times to the modern era—all in one place.

▪️The idea for the museum was first proposed in 1982, with support from UNESCO.

🏺 Valley of the Kings – History

The Valley of the Kings is a burial site for ancient Egyptian pharaohs, located on the west bank of the Nile near Luxor. It was used continuously from around 1550 to 1070 BCE during the New Kingdom period.

🏛️ Temple of Horus

The Temple of Horus, also known as the “Edfu Temple,” is one of the best-preserved ancient Egyptian temples in the world. It holds great religious importance and was built to worship Horus, the god of the sky and a symbol of kingship.

Construction began in 237 BCE
During the Ptolemaic period (the Greek rule of Egypt)
Under King Ptolemy III Euergetes

It took nearly 180 years to complete, finishing around 57 BCE

📍 The temple is located in the city of Edfu, along the Nile River, between Luxor and Aswan
