Upholding the rule of law is one of the prime objectives of the judiciary of the Republic of South Sudan.
One of the essential elements of rule of law is "no man above the law".
The principle punish even the president, prime minister, speakers of the legislature, and the highest military officers in the country.
Further, the principle prohibited the arbitrary application of law by the person having the power or authority.
It treated all men/women as equal regardless of their social classes/statuses, political affiliation/alignment, economic positions, rich or poor etc are equal before the law.
