Tudi letos smo na Pravni fakulteti UM za pripravo na Williem C. Vis Moot tekmovanje organizirali manjši prijateljski pre-moot, ki je potekal 9. marca 2026. Pridružile so se nam ekipe Univerze v Gradcu, Univerze v Trstu in Univerze v Ljubljani. V treh krogih smo izvedli 6 pleadingov, kjer smo poslušali nove argumente in pridobili dragocene izkušnje.
Letošnjo ekipo tekmovalcev na ustnem delu sestavljajo: Aljaž Kirbiš, Janina Drolc, Rina Pšunder, Lorena Topolovec in Maša Pogorelec. Na tekmovanje se pripravljajo s pomočjo mentorjev doc. dr. Denisa Baghrizabehija, asist. Line Burkelc Juras, Jakoba Hauptmana, Nastje Gorenc, Blaža Bukovca, Anje Triller in Petre Zupančič.
Zahvaljujemo se vsem ekipam za udeležbo in prijetno tekmovalno vzdušje ter jim želimo veliko uspeha na tekmovanju na Dunaju in v Hongkongu.

Yesterday, on 27th of February 2025, our mooties travelled to Ljubljana to attend the Jadek & Pensa premoot. We participated in two very fruitful practice rounds against the Vis Moot Team of the University of Ljubljana.
The arbitrators gave both teams valuable insights, comments and pointers for the rest of the oral phase.📚📑

Annnd finaaally, last but not least, Mija Kozole!

Mija is a first-year master’s degree law student at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Law. She is currently a member of the Student Council, the Faculty of Law’s Committee for Scientific Research Affairs and the board of ELSA Maribor, where she holds her position as Vice President for Academic Activities. During her ongoing education, she took part in many school activities, such as debate clubs, roundtables, and participated in the MUNLaws competition.

When she’s not occupied with legal studies, she works in a climbing gym as a climbing instructor for children and pursues her passion for photography and video editing. If she has some free time, she fills it with good music, good books, various sports and quality time with friends and family. 🧗‍♀️

Driven by a desire to gain valuable experience and furthermore challenging herself, along with her interest in international commercial law, Mija has decided to take on the journey of Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

We are thrilled to present our fourth team member, Anja Triller!

Anja is a first-year master’s degree law student at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Law. During her studies, Anja engaged in an Amicus Curiae project at the Administrative Court in Maribor. Since 2022, she has held the position of board member for the Statutory Law Committee in her hometown, where she plays an active role in the organization’s strategic decision making.

Besides being an avid Dr. House enjoyer and coffee enthusiast, she is a dedicated cat lover. Furthermore, she has a passion for crocheting, often transforming yarn into home decor and handmade gifts.😇

This year she decided to participate in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, to expand her knowledge of International Commercial Arbitration and gain new experiences, in addition to refining public speaking skills.

Meet another one of our mooties, Tea Ladič.🙌🏼

Tea has an absolvent status at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Law after spending a semester abroad. She is currently a member of the Student Council and Erasmus+ Ambassador. Throughout her studies, Tea has participated in an Amicus Curiae practice at the District Court in Maribor as well as in various activities organized by the Faculty such as Legal Clinic, roundtables, debate clubs etc.

She is a big travel enthusiast and nature lover, amazed by meeting new people from all over the world while immersing herself in new cultures. Whenever she finds her way back to Slovenia, you can find her doing all sorts of things. From training triathlons and preparing for upcoming races to volunteering in a Leo club. Despite her active lifestyle, she loves to read, hang out with friends and relax by playing harp.

This year she decided to take a new journey and participate in Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot to gain new experiences and to broaden her knowledge in the field of international commercial arbitration.

And now, meet the second member of our team, Rina Pšunder!

Rina is a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Law and she is dedicated to researching legal problems. This year she attended 33rd International Conference on Medicine, Law and Society and this is the first time she’s involved in a project as big as Vis Moot. She is looking forward to perfecting and expanding her knowledge in the field of international commercial arbitration and she is excited to gain priceless experience.

In her free time, she loves sports and is also a personal trainer at the gym. She is a big music lover, plays the piano and loves to crochet.🤩

We begin this year’s Vis Moot team introductions with our first member, Maša Pogorelec.

Maša is a first-year master’s degree law student at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Law. She has participated in an Amicus Curiae project at the Administrative Court in Maribor and in Maribor District Court. Last year she also participated in “Študentska pravda” competition for law students. She is also a co-author of two papers from the field of family law and is a licensed mediator.

Besides her studies she also loves to read, watch tv series, cook and bake and loves cats. She is also a big sports fan. After “retiring” from her football career, she is now a big Formula 1 fan. You will also never see her without a cup of coffee.😋

This year she decided to participate in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, to challenge herself and broaden her horizons.🤓
