In 2025, I took off my uniform for the last time.
15 years in the Singapore Police Force. Ground response. Community policing. Emergency Response Team.
I gave that job everything.
But I had three kids — aged 12, 7, and 4. And the cost of building a life in Singapore wasn’t getting easier.
So while I was still in uniform, I started studying for my RES licence. Quietly. Secretly. No colleagues knew. I didn’t want the noise.
Only my wife knew. And she carried me on the days I couldn’t carry myself.
This is Day 1 of my story.
It gets harder before it gets better. And it almost didn’t happen at all.
Follow if you want to see the rest.
