[SOLD]— Another unit sold at 512 West Coast Drive
This wasn’t simply about selling a home.
The flat was built in 1978, with around 50 years of lease remaining. And for a young couple with many years ahead of them, we had to ask a bigger question:
Is this still the right asset to hold for the next 10–20 years?
So before making any decision, we sat down and went through the numbers, market trends and their longer term plans.
The concern wasn’t whether the flat could still be sold today. It was what could happen as the remaining lease gets shorter, and whether keeping too much of their wealth tied to an ageing asset was the best strategy for them.
After going through the options, they decided to make the move. Sell while they still had flexibility, and elevate into a newer private property with a longer runway and stronger potential for long term value preservation and growth.
It wasn’t an easy decision.
A home carries memories, familiarity and comfort. Moving also means taking on a bigger financial commitment.
But sometimes, property planning isn’t about choosing what feels easiest today.
It’s about understanding where you are, where you want to be 10–20 years from now, and making an informed decision while you still have choices.
Glad I could be part of that process.
