Our Che Wei Chin was consulted for his views on the issue of the cancer-causing chemical formaldehyde in furniture, which has been the subject matter of significant debate, and will be discussed in Parliament this week. We at Fervent Chambers are proud of his contributions.

The issue of the cancer-causing chemical formaldehyde in furniture will be discussed in Parliament this week. Six MPs have filed questions such as potential regulations on contractors and imports of building materials, as well as steps to tackle health concerns. Sherlyn Seah reports.

Parcel deliveries from online shopping is increasingly commonplace. However, parcels could be unlabelled and/or mistakenly delivered. This commentary explores the civil and legal liabilities of checking and/or taking contents of such delivery parcels. It explores civil liability (tort of conversion), criminal offences (criminal misappropriation) and acceptance of contraband items (possible abetment offences). Congratulations to REDEX Group! We are privileged and glad to have acted for REDEX in its Series A funding round which was led by Aramco Ventures along with notable new investors from the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Japan.

Singapore-based renewable energy certificate (REC) service provider REDEX said on Tuesday it has raised $10 million from investors led by Aramco Ventures, a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco , to fund its expansion beyond Asia.
