With a decaying lease effect, more likely than not home owners will be selling at a negative sale rather than a positive one.
As per mention by the article, even when no one has to pay a top up. Essentially, this home owners would have lose part of their CPF savings that they could have use as their retirement or next property.
As long as utilise amount is large, the accrued interest rates of 2.5% can prove to be quite substantial over long period of time.
More importantly do you know that even if the flat is *fully paid for* as long as your cpf monies are not paid back the interest will continue to compound?

Paying for housing with cpf in Singapore is inevitable in most cases, so how can you properly plan your cpf utilisation and what are the ways to constantly recycle your cpf?
