Nära inpå trygghetsmötet i Skarpnäck inträffade ännu en tragisk incident som återigen bekräftar det viktiga arbete som behöver göras ute i Sveriges förorter:

En man blev skjuten till döds bara tre timmar efter mötet. Hur många fler ska behöva gå miste om sitt liv innan politiker hinner reagera och samordna. Det finns inga vinnare i detta - enbart förlorare. Därför behöver vi alla gå samman och arbeta -preventivt- istället för reaktivt.

En grupp som deltog under mötet har nu startat igång en förening i specifikt Skarpnäck för att skapa trygghet och motverka antalet skjutningar. WeR1 heter den och vi uppmanar alla som vill hjälpa till att motverka denna problematik att ansluta sig snarast:

Under söndagskvällen skedde ännu en dödsskjutning i Skarpnäck. Boende i området känner nu en stor sorg. "Nu ser vi massa poliser som ger trygghet men skjutningen ...

Såhär såg det ut på stormötet kring gängkriminalitet som anordnades av Skarpnäcks dialoggrupp. Politiker och kommuninvånare möttes och diskuterade olika aspekter av problematiken kring gängkriminalitet. Inte minst lyftes frågor om integration, segregation, bemötande i skolor och kontextualiserad läxhjälp upp i de olika grupperna. Fatou var en av moderatorerna för eventet medan Viktoria var sekreterare och antecknade inför nästkommande event. Tanken är att JusticeTalks ska samla ännu fler aktörer och fortsätta diskutera frågan i det första fysiska eventet på ett bra tag - vi kommer att bjuda in mycket spännande aktörer och föreläsare så - stay tuned!

TREDJE STORMÖTET

Skarpnäcks Kulturhus, söndagen den 10:e april 14-16 - B-salen

För lite över en månad sedan mördades en ung man/pojke när många av hans vänner såg på. Nu är det dags för det tredje stormötet efter mordet. Vi är många som under två tidigare möten tillsammans med pojkens föräldrar funderat över vad som kan göras för att förhindra att fler barn mördas och för att våra förorter ska bli tryggare för alla.

På det tredje mötet kommer vi samlas tillsammans för att sedan sätta oss i mindre grupper. Vi avslutar med att samlas i stor grupp och återberättar vad vi kommit fram till. Du är självklart välkommen oavsett om du varit med tidigare eller ej. Det är inte heller ett krav att du bor i Skarpnäck. ALLA är välkomna och behövs ❤

Några av de ämnen som föreslagits för mindre arbetsgrupper är:
* Hur föräldrar och övriga kan stötta varandra
* Nattvandring/närvaro på gator
* Sorgbearbetning - hur vi sörjer tillsammans och hur vi stöttar de som sörjer
* Mer aktiviteter och mötesplatser för unga och unga vuxna - hur, var, vad?
* Hur vi kan samla och sprida information om ungdomsföreningar/aktiviteter till alla
* Vad politiker kan göra
* Vad som kan göras i skolan
* Samarbete med nätverk och grupper som finns i andra förorter
* Vad som skulle kunna göras i Kulturhuset
* Hur vi kan arbeta mot diskriminering
* Visioner om hur polis och väktare kan bytas ut mot personer som stöttar och de-eskalerar

Alla får på mötet välja sina ämnen och det går också bra att då lyfta egna förslag till arbetsgrupperna.

Hi everyone! Let's re-welcome our newly appointed event-planner Zekarias who will actively participate in JusticeTalks this year. A little bit about Nyet, in her own words:

"Hi everyone! My name is Nyet, and I am a Law student at Stockholms University. I am currently writing on my final dissertation, and then I graduate *whoop whoop*.

As a person, I love to help others in any way. It could be anything from helping a stranger find their way in the metro to legal matters. My passion for people comes from watching my family fight for human rights in Eritrea. Therefore, for justice and accountability to occur, the right people must be held accountable for their actions to maintain the rule of law.

I have a huge interest in international criminal law, crimes such as genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing. Therefore, I am eager for us all to learn more about it in the upcoming Justice Talks!"

Vår ordförande Viktoria samt sekreterare Fatou kommer att närvara på följande möte i ljuset av det senaste gängvåldet och -kulturen.

Under mötet kommer ämnet behandlas ur såväl ett människorättsperspektiv som ur ett lokalt och jordnära perspektiv.

Hej allihopa!

I år är JusticeTalks tillsammans med ILA utställare på MR-dagarna. Viktoria och Anastasia håller informativa seminarier via zoom om vad respektive nätverk står för samt hur vi samarbetar.

En kort beskrivning om Vårt samarbete med ILA:

Sedan början av år 2020 har International Justice Talks och Svenska ILA anordnat gemensamma evenemang om folkrättsliga MR-frågor. Samarbetet inleddes med seminariet "Människorättsjurist som yrkesval. Hur blir man MR-jurist och hur är det att vara det?" där talare från olika MR-organisationer och advokatbyråer delade med sig av sina erfarenheter och råd.

Today, we present Justice Talks’ final board member, Fatou Bah. Working as an anthropologist has taught her the importance of integration and positive interaction in the empowerment of everyone involved. This is only one example of the values that Fatou contributes to Justice Talks, and if you want to know more continue reading below.

“ HELLO! My name is Fatou Bah and I am the secretary for JusticeTalks. When people with different experiences interact with each other, enormous potential is activated that exists within each one of us and is reflected in the form of positive exchange. As an anthropologist, I have learned the importance of contact with others and within the own group that strengthens both oneself and the group. It is of my conviction that JusticeTalks enables people to open up, to both give and take, and in that way also diminish the social isolation. Social community changes one's lifestyle at the same time as it is leading to social cohesion and solidarity. In turn, this might contribute to democratic development through discussion about common problems. “

" Hej allesammans! My name is Lisa Khaidarova and I am Sustainable Development and International Relations student who is highly driven to make a real change. I am currently the contributor to the Justice Talk PR as well as the environmental agenda of our platform.

Access to clean water, fresh air, and food are basic human needs that our everyday lives rely on. However, it is still often overlooked that these elements are a major part of human rights. The environmental crisis is not above the corner; we are already in a state of crisis.

In Justice Talk, we will touch on a different aspect of human rights including the healthy environment as every story is equally important and has a right to be heard.

Hello everyone!

My name is Anastasia Ponomareva, and I am a part of the marketing team. Today, it is my turn to present myself.

I am a peace and conflict graduate with a strong interest in human rights. Being born and raised in a socio-economically vulnerable area with a multicultural background has taught me the importance of studying issues from different perspectives. In conflicts, I believe that it is invaluable to take time to understand the logic behind someone else’s position. This will help pinpoint the root cause of the conflict, paving the way for pragmatic and effective solutions. However, to achieve the former, one must leave room for others to speak. Equally important is hearing what is being said, which implies reading between the lines.

I joined Justice Talks, not to talk to people, but with them. We want to hear your stories. We want to learn from your experiences, and finally, we want to give you the tools to change your situation after your needs.

Hello everyone!

In the next two weeks you will get to know us, representatives of JusticeTalks, better. Of course, this first post will be dedicated to Viktoria Tomsson who not only is a superwoman, but also the association's co-founder.

A bit about Viktoria, in her own words:

"Hi everyone. As the founder of JusticeTalks, I have only one goal in mind: to give people the legal tool to change their reality for the better and to connect them with each other. The gap between lawyers and people in general has, for too long, been unmistakenly high. People have for long been unaware of how to benefit from their rights, at the same time as lawyers have not had the best opportunities or contacts to collaborate in order to help people in need and spread knowledge about their rights. The first aim with JusticeTalks is to actually Talk about Justice. What kind of justice is allowed to prosper in today's society and why. The second aim is of course to put the knowledge into action. We need lawyers who not only talk the talk about justice, but also walk the walk. The third aim is of course to provide a safe environment for lawyers o express themselves, receive support from the community and share knowledge with the people who need to hear it. The communication is always in two-ways.

At last, the components of leadership & cooperation among lawyers and people are important in order to create a just and equal society for everyone: despite their age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity & disability. I want to be part of this creation. So, join the team and let justice Talk!"
