Navruz: A Celebration of Unity and Cultural Diversity at SUSU 🌏

Navruz is a holiday that marks the arrival of spring and the beginning of the new year according to the solar calendar. Every year, about 300 million people around the world celebrate it. Among them are students of Southwestern State University. The celebration of spring at the university has become a vivid symbol of the unity of different cultures and religions, uniting students from Central Asia and their friends, teachers and employees of the campus.

As part of the program, the guests of the holiday were able to delve into the ancient traditions of Navruz, get acquainted with the art of the peoples of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. Foreign students surprised everyone with magnificent vocal performances and poems in their native languages, as well as national dances and instrumental compositions.

This holiday reminds us of the importance of friendship between peoples, opening new horizons for future generations. May every day of spring bring warmth to the soul and to the world.

Kursk residents on the world stage 🥈🥉

🤺 The Junior World Fencing Championships were recently held in the Chinese city of Wuxi. The Russian team included our fellow countrymen - Polina Volobueva and Kursk State University student Pavel Puzankov.

🥈In the team competition, the Russians defeated rivals from the USA, Canada, Singapore and China. However, in a tense final, our athletes lost to the Italians, ultimately winning silver medals.

🥉 In the individual competition, Pavel and Polina also demonstrated outstanding results, becoming bronze medalists.

We are proud of the achievements of the Kursk residents and wish them further success in their careers! ✨

A native of Tajikistan became the youngest candidate of sciences in ophthalmology in Central Asia

🩺29-year-old graduate student of Sechenov University Eldor Dzhonnazarov successfully defended his candidate's dissertation in Moscow on the topic "Improving the system for assessing visual acuity in preschool children and deaf-mute children".

Eldor studied in Russia under the quotas of the Russian Government. Thanks to the knowledge that he demonstrated during the entrance examinations at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Tajikistan, he was able to enter the residency at RUDN, then the graduate school of the First Moscow State Medical University named after Sechenov.

🔬Now the young candidate of sciences wants to continue his academic activities in leading universities in Russia. His area of interest is innovative technologies with elements of artificial intelligence.

"The goal is to create solutions that will allow for the effective and early diagnosis of individual eye pathologies," - shares Eldor Dzhonnazarov.

In the future, Dr. Jonnazarov plans to return to Tajikistan and continue his scientific and pedagogical work in medical universities, as well as create an ophthalmo-oncology center in his homeland.

🗣As Eldor notes, new opportunities have opened up for him thanks to educational quotas. In this regard, he recorded an appeal to today's applicants who are also entering under the Rossotrudnichestvo quota campaign.

"Russia is a country of great scientists and authoritative doctors, a country of opportunities and a rich culture, where everyone will find a path to a decent education and professional growth," he is confident.
