The district court in Virginia has granted our client’s petition for confirmation and entry into judgment of three arbitral awards from the International Commercial Arbitration Court at The Chamber Of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (ICAC) in favor of our Russian client against two defendants, both being Virginia limited liability companies. The total amount of money recovered from the US defendants exceeds USD 16,5 Mln. Petrovsky lane (Russ.pereulok) received its name in 1922 from the nearby street named Petrovka and the adjacent Vysokopetrovsky monastery. Previous names were Khlebny (Eng.grain) lane (in the XVIII century), Bogoslovsky (Eng.theological) lane (in the XIX century) due to a well-known XVII century Church of St George the Theologian located in the same area (demolished in the Soviet times in 1931). In 1946, the lane was renamed to Moskvina street in honor of the actor Mr.I.M. Moskvin. The former name Petrovsky was returned to the lane in 1994.
