During the visit of a group of Honors College students to the Palestinian Institute of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, as part of the Leadership, Communication, Entrepreneurship, and Creativity Skills course, under the supervision of Dr. Raed Al-Daba'i.
We were delighted to welcome this outstanding group of students and look forward to seeing them become active participants in the Institute's future initiatives and activities.

نتقدم بأصدق التهاني والتبريكات إلى المتطوعتين وصديقتي المعهد المميزتان أيناس شناعة ومريم زغلول بمناسبة تخرجهما من برنامج القانون رئيسي فرعي علاقات دولية بكلية القانون والعلوم السياسية، متمنين لهما دوام التوفيق والنجاح في مسيرتهما العلمية والمهنية.
لقد كان لتفانيهما والتزامهما خلال فترة تطوعهما في المعهد أثرٌ ملموس، وأسهمت جهودهما في دعم العديد من الأنشطة والبرامج التي ينفذها المعهد، الأمر الذي ترك بصمة سيذكرهما بها المعهد للأبد.
نفخر بما حققتماه من إنجاز وتميز طوال مسيرتكما، ونتمنى لكما مستقبلاً زاخراً بالنجاحات والعطاء، وأن تكون هذه المحطة بدايةً لمسيرة مهنية وعلمية حافلة بالتميز.

مقتطفات من الزيارة العلمية التي نفذها المعهد الفلسطيني للقانون الدولي الإنساني وحقوق الإنسان بالشراكة مع كلية القانون والعلوم السياسية ومدرس مساق الأدلة الجنائية د. عمر البزور لمجموعة من طلبة الماجستير إلى المختبر الجنائي في مدينة رام الله للتعرف على الجوانب العملية المرتبطة بتوثيق الجرائم والانتهاكات بما في ذلك جرائم الاحتلال وعنف المستوطنين حيث تعرف الطلبة المشاركون على أقسام المختبر وطبيعه المهام التي يقوم بها وآليات وطرق وخطوات التحقق والتوثيق التي يتم إتباعه في مهام المختبر المختلفة. وتأتي هذه الزيارة في إطار أنشطة مشروع تأسيس المعهد الممول من قبل الاتحاد الأوروبي.
Highlights from the field visit organized by the Palestinian Institute of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, in partnership with the Faculty of Law and Political Science and Dr. Omar Al-Bazour, professor of the Forensic Evidence course, for a group of MA students to the Forensic Laboratory in Ramallah.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with the practical aspects of documenting crimes and violations, including those related to the Israeli occupation and settler violence. Participants toured the laboratory's various departments and learned about their functions, as well as the procedures, methodologies, and verification and documentation processes followed in the laboratory's different areas of work.
This visit was conducted as part of the activities of the Institute of Establishment Project, funded by the European Union.

من اختتام أعمال المدرسة الصيفية حول حماية الممتلكات الثقافية و التراث خلال النزاعات المسلحة التي نفذها المعهد الفلسطيني للقانون الدولي الإنساني وحقوق الإنسان وكلية القانون والعلوم السياسية بالشراكة مع جامعة أمستردام خلال الفترة ما بين 21-23/ 7/2026 في إطار مشروع تأسيس المعهد والممول من قبل الاتحاد الأوروبي، حيث تم اختتام المدرسة وتكريم الطلبة المشاركين في أحد مواقع التراث في بلدة سبسطية بمشاركة ممثلي الاتحاد الأوروبي والبروفسورة كيران جريوال من جامعة أمستردام ورئيس بلدية سبسطية أ. محمد عازم ومنسقة المعهد أ. بيسان أبتلي.
كل الشكر للطلبة على تميزهم ومشاركتهم الفاعلة والشكر موصول أيضا لكل الشركاء والزملاء ممن تضافرت جهودهم لإنجاح هذا النشاط
Highlights from the closing ceremony of the Summer School on the Protection of Cultural Heritage during Armed Conflicts, implemented by the Palestinian Institute of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights and the Faculty of Law and Political Science at An-Najah National University, in partnership with the University of Amsterdam, held from 21–23 July 2026 as part of the Institute Establishment Project, funded by the European Union.
The Summer School concluded with a closing ceremony and the presentation of certificates to the participating students at one of the heritage sites in Sebastia, with the presence of representatives of the European Union, Professor Kieran Grewal from the University of Amsterdam, Mr. Mohammad Azem, Mayor of Sebastia, and Ms. Besan Abtli, Coordinator of the Palestinian Institute of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
Our sincere thanks go to all the students for their outstanding engagement and active participation throughout the program. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our partners and colleagues whose dedication and collaborative efforts made this Summer School a success.

مقتطفات من اليوم الثالث والأخير من المدرسة الصيفية حول حماية الممتلكات الثقافية و التراث خلال النزاعات المسلحة التي نفذها المعهد الفلسطيني للقانون الدولي الإنساني وحقوق الإنسان وكلية القانون والعلوم السياسية بالشراكة مع جامعة أمستردام.
حيث تمثل هذا اليوم بزيارة ميدانية لبلدة سبسطية لاستكشاف مواقع التراث، وللحديث مع ممثلي البلدية وهيئة مقاومة الجدار والاستيطان لاستكشاف الأبعاد العملية والانتهاكات التي تجري بحق مواقع التراث، وللحديث عن اعتماد مواقع التراث في قرية سبسطية على قائمة مواقع التراث العالمي المعرض للخطر. وقد تم اختتام أعمال المدرسة الصيفية وتكريم الطلبة المشاركين في موقع من مواقع التراث في بلدة سبسطية بحضور ممثلي الاتحاد الأوروبي.
Highlights from the third and final day of the Summer School on the Protection of Cultural Heritage during Armed Conflicts, implemented by the Palestinian Institute of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights and the Faculty of Law and Political Science at An-Najah National University, in partnership with the University of Amsterdam.
The final day featured a field visit to the town of Sebastia, where participants explored its cultural heritage sites and met with representatives of the Municipality of Sebastia and the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission. The discussions focused on the practical dimensions of protecting cultural heritage, the violations affecting heritage sites, and the inscription of Sebastia's heritage sites on the UNESCO List of World Heritage in Danger.
The Summer School concluded with a closing ceremony and the presentation of certificates to the participating students at one of Sebastia's heritage sites, in the presence of representatives of the European Union.

جزء من اللقاء مع بلدية سبسطية وهيئة مقاومة الجدار والاستيطان للحديث عن مواقع التراث وقرارات المصادرة وتسجيل مواقع التراث في سبسطية كمواقع تراث عالمي بقرار من اليونسيكو وذلك في إطار الزيارة الميدانية للطلبة المشاركين في المدرسة الصيفية حول حماية التراث والممتلكات الثقافية خلال النزاعات المسلحة التي ينفذها المعهد الفلسطيني للقانون الدولي الإنساني وحقوق الإنسان وكلية القانون والعلوم السياسية بالشراكة مع جامعة أمستردام، حيث تعتبر هذه الزيارة جزء من أنشطة مشروع تأسيس المعهد والممول من قبل الاتحاد الأوروبي.
Part of the meeting with the Municipality of Sebastia and the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, where participants talked about heritage sites, confiscation orders affecting cultural property, and the inscription of Sebastia's heritage sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The meeting formed part of the field visit for participants in the Summer School on the Protection of Cultural Heritage during Armed Conflicts, implemented by the Palestinian Institute of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights and the Faculty of Law and Political Science at An-Najah National University, in partnership with the University of Amsterdam. The Summer School is one of the activities carried out under the Institute Establishment Project, funded by the European Union.

من أعمال اليوم الثاني من المدرسة الصيفية حول حماية التراث والممتلكات الثقافية خلال النزاعات المسلحة والتي نفذها المعهد الفلسطيني للقانون الدولي الإنساني وحقوق الإنسان وكلية القانون والعلوم السياسية بجامعة النجاح الوطنية بالشراكة مع جامعة أمستردام، وذلك في إطار مشروع تأسيس المعهد الممول من قبل الاتحاد الأوروبي.
تخلل اليوم الأول مجموعة من الأنشطة التطبيقية التي هدفت إلى ربط الجوانب النظرية بالممارسة العملية، بما في ذلك جلسة عملية حول توثيق وتسجيل مواقع التراث، ومداخلة حول حماية التراث من خلال قوانين الملكية الفكرية، علاوة على اتاحة المجال للطلبة لخوض تجربة تفاعلية باستخدام تقنيات الواقع الافتراضي. وقد اشتمل هذا اليوم أيضا على زيارة ميدانية إلى مؤسسة فن من القلب، للتعرف على دور الفن كوسيلة للمناصرة والتوعية والدفاع عن حماية التراث والممتلكات الثقافية.
Highlights from the second day of the Summer School on the Protection of Cultural Heritage during Armed Conflicts, implemented by the Palestinian Institute of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights and the Faculty of Law and Political Science at An-Najah National University, in partnership with the University of Amsterdam, as part of the InstituteEstablishment Project, funded by the European Union.
The second day featured a variety of practical activities designed to bridge theory and practice. These included a hands-on session on documenting and registering cultural heritage sites, a lecture on the protection of cultural heritage through intellectual property laws, and an interactive virtual reality experience that allowed participants to engage with the subject in an innovative way.
The day also included a field visit to the organisation Art to Heart, where participants explored the role of art as a tool for advocacy, awareness-raising, and the protection of cultural heritage and cultural property.

ضمن جلسة “Advocacy Beyond Law: Art as a Tool for Protecting Cultural Heritage”، كجزء من المدرسة الصيفيه التي ينفذها المعهد الفلسطيني للقانون الدولي الإنساني وحقوق الإنسان وكلية القانون والعلوم السياسية بجامعة النجاح الوطنية بالشراكة مع جامعة أمستردام حول حماية الممتلكات الثقافية والتراث خلال النزاعات المسلحة، استقبلت مؤسسة فن من القلب اليوم مجموعه من طلبة تخصصات القانون للتعرّف على تجربة المؤسسة في مجال استخدام الفنون في قضايا المناصرة والعدالة المجتمعية الخاصة بالاعاقة، وحماية الهوية الثقافية ، اضافة الى تعزيز الدمج والمشاركة المجتمعية.

"نؤمن بقدرة الفن على اعلاء صوت أهل القضية، وإيصال رسائلهم الى اصحاب القرار بقوة وتأثير ، وإحداث أثر حقيقي في المجتمع". 🎨
