As another busy and engaging summer gets underway at MPM, we were pleased to host our annual Welcome Cocktail Reception for our Summer Associates.

The event provided an opportunity for Andrés Rachid and Ignacio Donéstevez to connect with attorneys and staff from across the firm as they begin their summer experience with us.

A special thank you to Mariana Nácer and Paola Torres, who oversee every aspect of our Summer Associate Program, from organizing the Welcome Cocktail to coordinating the many professional and educational experiences that take place throughout the summer.

Andrés and Ignacio have already begun participating in the many experiences that define our Summer Associate Program, and we look forward to supporting their continued growth and development throughout the summer.

MPM's summer associates, Andrés and Ignacio, along with a group of summer associates from other firms, had the extraordinary opportunity to visit the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico in Old San Juan, where they heard firsthand from two distinguished members of the federal judiciary: Honorable Gustavo A. Gelpí of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and Honorable Jay A. García-Gregory of the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.

Both judges generously shared their professional trajectories, offering invaluable advice for future practitioners on topics including appellate practice and the wide variety of career opportunities available within the federal judiciary. Their insights provided our summer associates with a deeper appreciation for the breadth and significance of federal practice.

Experiences like these are a cornerstone of our summer program, and we are grateful to Judge Gelpí and Judge García-Gregory for their time and willingness to inspire the next generation of legal professionals.
