The $100K Mistake

It’s hard to talk about investing your hard earned money without seeing what you’re getting involved in.
Sometimes it’s hard to pull a trigger where there is so much unknown or risk.

Made it to Puerto Rico today! 🇵🇷✈️
I’m starting a week-long adventure across the island - on Bad Bunny Day, I mean, Super Bowl Sunday - and I wanted to kick things off by sharing a "why" behind how I travel—and how I invest.
Whenever I have the choice, I pick a boutique stay over a regular hotel every time. Don't get me wrong, big resorts have their amenities, but they can’t compete with the feeling of texting the owner, letting them know I’m on my way, and knowing it’s like talking to a friend. 📱🤝
There is something pretty neat about a friendly face and true familiarity. It’s personal. It’s intentional. And it’s exactly how I like to do business.
The First Stop: Santurce
Before I make the cross-island trek to Rincón (and our own little boutique spot, Puntas Treehouse), I always spend a night in San Juan. Specifically, I’m headed to Hotel Luz.
Why?
1. The Vibe: Santurce has this incredible artsy, historical energy that you just don't get inside a resort wall.
2. The Person: I know the owner, Marc Weiss. I know the room will be fresh and comfortable, but more importantly, I know Marc will be there.
Staying here allows me to explore my curiosities and see what Marc is up to as he grows his portfolio in PR. We’ll catch up on all things real estate, and that is how I bring real value to the PR Market Report I publish on LinkedIn. 📈
