✅ You apply by yourself — not your boss
✅ First, you must send your application online (on the Voivode’s website)
✅ Then, you must book an appointment to go in person
⏳ It can take up to 2 months to get a date —
👉 So send your online application as early as possible!
✅ You apply to the Voivode for your place of stay
✅ You must go in person — the office will take your fingerprints
✅ You must apply before your visa or stay ends
❗ Important:
If you are even 1 day late — ❌ you will get a refusal
✉️ If you can’t get an appointment in time,
send your application by registered mail (Poczta Polska) before your last legal day.
📬 In that case:
👉 You may wait longer for your decision,
but your application is on time, and you won’t get a refusal for being late.
⚠️ But remember:
You may not be allowed to work while waiting — it depends on your case.

You already applied for the residence card, but now you want a new job?
Here’s what you must do:
🔹 Tell the office (Voivode) about the change
🔹 Give documents from your new boss
🔹 Explain the new job conditions (position, salary, hours)
🚨 Warning:
If you work without permission, you can get:
❌ No decision
❌ Your stay will be cancelled
👉 Don’t risk it — always tell the office!

Do you have a residence card from a temporary stay and work permit?
🔹 Do you want to change your job?
Here is what you must do:
1. ✉️ Tell the Voivode (immigration office) in 15 working days that you lost your job
👉 But if you apply for a change of permit right away, you don’t need to send this information
2. 📄 Apply for “change of decision” (not a new card)
👉 It means: change your temporary stay and work permit for the new boss
3. 🌐 You will get a stamp in your passport — you can stay and work legally until the decision
🕒 Your residence card stays the same — only the decision changes.

Sometimes, you can change your job without applying for a new temporary residence and work permit:
✅ Company changes name or address
✅ Company changes legal type (example: from Ltd to joint-stock company)
✅ Another employer takes over the company
✅ Job title changes, but work stays the same
✅ You change from civil contract to work contract
✅ You work more hours, but pay per hour stays the same
⚠️ Important:
If your job, salary, or type of contract changes a lot → you must apply for a new permit.
