❗️LAST DAY TO APPLY FOR Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition 2026/2027!
Dear Students,
We are pleased to announce the recruitment for the team that will represent the University of Warsaw in the XV edition of the Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition, one of the most prestigious moot courts in Europe dedicated to the European Convention on Human Rights. The competition is organised by ELSA in cooperation with the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights.
The team prepares a fictional case on behalf of both the applicant and the respondent State, first in written memorials and then during oral pleadings modelled on proceedings in Strasbourg.
🗓️ Timeline:
• written round: until 10 January 2027
• regional oral rounds: February 2027
• Final Oral Round: 31 May – 4 June 2027
👩⚖️ Who are we looking for?
We would like to invite new adepts of human rights to join us. Students of all years are welcome, and no prior moot court experience is required. All you need is enthusiasm and willingness to work in a team.
There is not much space for human rights practice during law studies, unless you create it yourself. That is exactly what we offer: a real adventure with human rights advocacy, from legal research and drafting to pleading before the Court.
📝 How to apply?
The application form is available via the link in our bio and in the comments. To open it, please log in with a Google account (a UW account works as well).
