We're happy to announce that an article by our lawyer has been published by a Polish news agency. It considers the situation of people who apply for work TRC while at the same time owning shares in LTDs. For a long time the institutions have been very unfavorable for such people, but now, it seems it's changing.

An extremely busy week for us is finally over!

Funny thing that happened to us: an unexpected encounter with Joe Biden! One of our lawyers and his client were on their way to the Immigration Office when they run into the American president and his convoy on their way to the Presidential Palace. The whole street was blocked by the police for over half an hour. However despite this little complication, our client's application was submitted successfully. 😇

Many foreigners in Warsaw are really concerned about getting an appointment in the Immigration Office.😨 Often their lawyers are not able to book one. However, neither the lawyers nor their clients are guilty.

The dysfuntion of inPol system caught attention of Paulina Nowosielska, who in her article reports the pathologies such as selling appointments by people who obtain them in unethical way. This procedure of booking appointments for sale by fake aplicants (or bots perhaps) makes it very difficult for ordinary people and their lawyers to obtain an appoitment in reasonable time.😠

⚠️Important update on so-called “Covid Extensions” :

😷 During the pandemic, the government had decided to automatically extend the visas or residence cards of foreigners living in Poland.

📆From the 24th of August, this measure will no longer be in effect. So please remember to file your applications before this date.

Did you know that you can apply for 500+ social benefit as a foreigner, even if you don’t have an entry “dostęp do rynku pracy” (access to labor market) in your residence card?

According to the Administrative Courts, it’s sufficient if you have a residence card and a right to work, regardless of whether your right to work has been mentioned in your card.

In practice this means your right to perform legal work can be due to a separate work permit, a Polish Card (Karta Polaka) or some other legal exemption. As long as you have a right to work and have a residence card – you and your kids are eligible for 500+.

Note that the above described interpretation does not annul the existing exlusions of some categories of people (such as students).

Up until recently, Russian citizens had been allowed to work in Poland without a work permit for a duration of 24 months. Registering a declaration of entrusting work by the employer was the only requirement on their part. It was a very quick and effective way of getting legal work in Poland.

👨‍⚖️ Due to the current situation in Ukraine, on the 25th October the Polish Ministry of Family and Social Policy decided to exclude Russian citizens from the nationalities which can enjoy this option. The decision took effect on the 28th of October.

📑 It is important to note however that Russians citizens who already have worked on a declaration of entrusting work can continue to enjoy their rights until their current declaration expires.

🌍 Declarations of entrusting work still remain accessible for citizens of Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

🤔 What should Russians citizens do if they desire to work legally in Poland? For now, the only solution is to apply for a work permit or a combined work & residence permit.
