From 1 December 2025, a new official form is required for applications for a temporary residence permit in Poland.📅

The changes affect the main application and all attachments — including a revised photo requirement (now 2 photos instead of 4), updated biometric-photo standards, a new submission stamp, and updated fingerprinting and residence-card data procedures.💜

Significant CHANGES are coming next year to the procedure for submitting applications for a residence permit in Poland (temporary, permanent, and EU resident)!🖥️

➡️ Applications will be filed electronically only via the Moduł Obsługi Spraw (MOS) / Case Handling Module portal.

Key Benefits:

🔹Submit your application online, whenever you want, without queuing.

🔹You will be called to the Voivodeship Office only once – to provide fingerprints and signature.

🔹You will receive an electronic certificate of application submission (replacing the passport stamp).

Important: You will need an electronic signature, such as a Trusted Profile (Profil Zaufany), to sign the application.

Stay tuned! The system launch date will be announced soon.💜

‼️Poland has once again demonstrated its continued support for Ukrainian citizens affected by the ongoing war‼️

According to the latest update from the Office for Foreigners (Urząd do Spraw Cudzoziemców), the legal stay of Ukrainian nationals and certain family members who arrived in Poland after 24 February 2022 has been officially extended until 4 March 2026.🗓️

The extension applies to individuals covered by the provisions of the special law on assistance to citizens of Ukraine.🇺🇦

⚠️Recently, the Poznań Police have intensified checks on foreigners regarding the possession of valid documents (see article in first comment).⚠️

For this reason, we remind you:
According to the provisions of Polish law, every foreigner staying on the territory of the Republic of Poland is required to carry a document confirming their identity and the legality of their stay – this can be, for example:
- a passport
- a residence card
- a visa
- a certificate of submission of an application for a temporary residence permit.

Failure to present such a document during a check (e.g., by the Border Guard or the Police) may result in:
- a fine (most commonly up to 500 PLN)
- an order to present the document within a specified deadline
- and in some cases, even detention until identity is verified.
Therefore, always carry a valid identity document with you – preferably the original, or at least a copy (although the original is strongly recommended).

If you have any questions about the legality of your stay or problems with your documents – contact us. We will help you understand your rights and obligations in Poland!💜

The Entry/Exit System (EES) is a new European border management system that allows for the registration of non-EU citizens traveling to the EU for a short stay each time they cross the external borders of 29 European countries.

Starting on October 12, 2025, the 29 European countries using the EES will gradually implement the system at their external borders over a period of six months. During this period, travel data may not be collected immediately at all border crossings. Once the gradual rollout is complete, the EES will be fully operational at all external border crossing points.
