*We burn ourselves out trying to control what was never in our control.*
How someone sees us.
What they think.
What they say.
Even the justice we want to see.
*Allah says:*
رَّبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَٱتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيلًا
“He is Lord of the east and west, there is no god but Him, so take Him as your Protector.” (73:9)
A *wakil* is the one you hand things over to when you can’t handle them. This ayah is teaching us to do that with Allah.
The Prophet ﷺ was mocked and insulted. Rumors spread and it hurt him. But Allah told him, don’t carry that weight. Leave it to Me.
*And that’s our reminder.* Do what’s in your hands. Let go of what isn’t. Trusting Allah isn’t just saying tawakkul ‘ala Allah. It’s the courage to stop trying to control what you can’t.
