# SENIOR CIVIL JUDGE CRIMINAL DIVISION GRANTS POST-ARREST BAIL TO ACCUSED IN TAXILA BAR CASE

**RAWALPINDI:** The Senior Civil Judge (Criminal Division) Rawalpindi has granted post-arrest bail to accused Shabbir Shah and Kashif Shah in the widely discussed case registered under FIR No. 777/26 at Police Station Taxila.
The FIR was originally lodged on the complaint, incorporating Sections 148, 149, and 506(ii) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), along with Section 3 of the Lawyers Protection Act. Although the legal proceedings initially commenced in the local Magistrate Court, the case was subsequently transferred to the Senior Civil Judge Criminal Division Rawalpindi for further hearing.
During the bail hearing, senior legal practitioners Advocates High Court represented the complainant party, strongly opposing the bail application.
However, defense counsel **Muhammad Mustafeez Khan Advocate**, an emerging lawyer of the Taxila Bar holding M.Phil and LLB degrees, delivered compelling and rigorous arguments on behalf of the accused. Advocate Mustafeez Khan successfully demonstrated before the court that the allegations were based on a fabricated story, highlighting clear elements of *mala fide* (bad faith) and a glaring misuse of professional and executive authority to frame the accused.
After hearing detailed arguments from both sides and reviewing the record, the learned court accepted the defense’s plea, observing that the case required further inquiry. The court ordered the release of Shabbir Shah and Kashif Shah on post-arrest bail, subject to furnishing surety bonds worth **Rs. 100,000/- (One Lakh Rupees)** each to the satisfaction of the court.
