We are contesting a case (writ petition) at lahore highcourt Multan bench . The case is regarding resolution ,determination and elimination of exploitation on the basis of gender discrimination.
We are representing the females who were appointed as instructors in commerce colleges in grade 17. They were employed under Tevta However they were regularised and became civil servants of the government of punjab .
Recently their male colleagues were promoted and their promotions were denied on their gender alone.
However we filed a writ petition and the court was humble enough to grant us a stay regardless of the stay . The department is promoting male instructors.
Out of a list of 200 instructors there is not even a single woman
The case got attention of jang news . The case is adjourned for another date however the government of punjab has no satisfactory reply that why women were denied promotions on their gender alone.
