Congratulations to J.Ayesha Malik on her appointment to the Supreme Court! Her court has some leading judgments & orders including banning the two finger virginity testing, dismissed in limine and dismissed for non prosecution despite of appearing. CJP Gulzar Ahmed will only be remembered in history for bringing a first woman judge to SC. But the people who are saying that this is a gender issue in fact this is not a gender discriminations but this is ruining the merit and snubbing of right of several senior judges. The lack of transparency and structure in the process of judicial appointments to the superior courts remains a real issue. Don't know why the Commission is silent & not focusing on Art 175(A)(4) before making any further appointments/considerations. The bar, bench and the parliamentary committee should play their key role in such issues.
