The Federal Constitutional Court has narrowed the scope of the 2010 workplace harassment law, holding that only conduct of a sexual nature is actionable as harassment before the Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment (FOSPAH). The court held that "every sexual harassment is a harassment but every harassment is not a sexual harassment".

The Punjab Assembly's Standing Committee on Human Rights and Minority Affairs unanimously approved the Christian Marriage Bill 2026 on Wednesday, proposing a minimum marriage age of 18 for both Christian men and women, mandatory marriage registration and at least two witnesses at weddings. The bill also allows authorised Christian ministers and Marriage Registrars to conduct weddings, requires advance marriage notices and declarations that neither partner's consent was obtained through force or pressure, and gives couples the right to approach a civil court if a Marriage Registrar refuses to issue the required certificat.
