The Honourable Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, Ms. Justice Aalia Neelum, visited the Lahore High Court Bar Association on the occasion of the inauguration of the newly established Kashmir Cafeteria.

Upon her arrival, she was warmly received by the office bearers of the Association and presented with a bouquet as a gesture of respect and welcome.

Accompanying the Honourable Chief Justice were Mr. Justice Shahid Karim, Mr. Justice Mirza Viqas Rauf, Mr. Justice Sadiq Mahmud Khurram, and Mr. Justice Syed Ahsan Raza Kazmi.

The distinguished guests were received by Mr. Babar Murtaza Khan, President, Mr. Sohail Qaiser Tarar, Vice President, Mr. Qasim Ijaz Summra, Secretary, and Mr. Malik Ali Raza Khokhar, Finance Secretary, Lahore High Court Bar Association.

Following the inauguration ceremony, the Honourable Chief Justice also visited the ADR Centre and the newly established Committee Room of the Lahore High Court Bar Association, where she was briefed on the facilities and ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening the legal profession and enhancing institutional services for the legal fraternity.

The Honourable Chief Justice also visited the Ladies' Bar Room, where she interacted with members and appreciated the facilities provided for women lawyers.

The visit reflected the strong and cordial relationship between the Bench and the Bar, reaffirming their shared commitment to the betterment of the justice system and the welfare of the legal community.

The Lahore High Court Bar Association proudly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IVY Academic Network, operating through IVY College of Management Sciences, on 29th July 2026, at Lahore.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the Lahore High Court Bar Association by Mr. Qasim Ijaz Sumra, Secretary, Lahore High Court Bar Association, while Mr. Taha Mazhar, Law Lead & Lecturer in Law, and Ms. Fatima Ilyas, Deputy Head – Laws, represented IVY Academic Network.
This strategic collaboration aims to promote excellence in legal education by providing 30% tuition bursaries for eligible members of the Lahore High Court Bar Association and their lineal descendants in IVY's UK-accredited LL.B. and LL.M. programmes. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to academic advancement, professional development, and expanding educational opportunities for Pakistan's legal community.

Challenges being faced in the filing of cases.

Non-availability of judges.

Condemnation of the registration of an FIR under Section 7-ATA against Mr. Waqar Amjad, Secretary Kharian Bar Association, and other lawyers.

Condemnation of the ongoing oppression and brutality in Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

Honourable Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, Justice Aalia Neelum, inaugurated the state-of-the-art Judicial Complex (Judicial Tower) Project on 11 July, marking a major milestone in the modernization of Pakistan's judicial system. The project, comprising Phase I and Phase II, aims to bring multiple courts under one roof, providing world-class facilities for litigants, lawyers, and court staff through modern infrastructure, efficient case management, digital record-keeping, and spacious parking.
On this occasion, the Honourable Chief Justice reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening judicial infrastructure, ensuring timely delivery of justice, and building a transparent, accessible, and people-centric judicial system. The ceremony was attended by the President of the Lahore High Court Bar Association, Mr. Babar Murtaza Khan (Advocate Supreme Court), Secretary Mr. Qasim Ijaz Summra (Advocate High Court), and Finance Secretary Mr. Malik Ali Raza Khokhar (Advocate High Court).
