Ms. Sarah Tarar, Founder & Director ICDRL, was invited to as a speaker at the exclusive Round Table Conference hosted by the Qur’an Covenant Research Centre (QCRC), in collaboration with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Arbitration Centre (OIC-AC) and the Young OIC Arbitration Group.

Other eminent speakers included H.E. Dr. Umar Oseni, Ms. Merve Nur Duymaz, , and Mr. Ahmer Bilal Soofi, whose insights enriched discussions on faith-driven dispute resolution. The session was expertly moderated by Syed Muaz Shah (Senior fellow QCRC).

The conference focused on youth engagement in faith-driven dispute resolution, promoting principled conduct, ethical decision-making, and holistic development.

Ms Sarah Tarar, Founder & Director ICDRL and CEO ADR ODR International Pakistan had the honour of participating as a panelist at the International Conference on Strengthening Investor Confidence Through Alternative Dispute Resolution, hosted by the Ministry of Law and Justice (MoLJ) and the International Mediation and Arbitration Center (IMAC), in collaboration with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Arbitration Center (OIC-AC), Türkiye.

Against the backdrop of national efforts to enhance investor confidence and commercial certainty, Ms. Sarah Tarar emphasised the importance of meaningful quality control in mediation, highlighting that we must prioritise strengthening process over policing outcomes.

The panel comprised eminent professionals, including Mr Raja Naeem Akbar, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Federal Secretary, MoLJ; H.E. Dr. Umar A. By connecting with experts locally and internationally and embracing both traditional and digital approaches, we have worked to make ADR more accessible and effective for communities everywhere.

International Centre for Dispute Resolution Lahore (ICDRL) and ADR ODR International Pakista is delighted to congratulate our recent batch of successful mediators.

This training was organised in collaboration with International Mediation and Arbitration Centre and the Minsitry of Law and Justice. This diverse set of participants comprising Parliamentarians, Justices of the High Courts, senior government officials, leaders from academia, the legal community and the corporate sector completed the training in October 2025 but their accredited status has just been released.

The closing ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Justice Shahid Waheed of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Justice Minagul Hassan Aurangzeb and Federal Minister for Law & Justice Mr. Azam Nazeer Tarar who emphasised the institutionalisation of ADR to reduce case backlogs, strengthen access to justice and foster social harmony and highlighted the importance of professional standards for mediators.

International Centre for Dispute Resolution Lahore (ICDRL) once again collaborates with Mediation & Negotiation Program Pakistan (MNPP) in organising Pakistan’s first & only mediation & negotiation competition sponsored by ADR ODR International and Edwards Mediation Academy.

Last year MNPP invited expert trainers from all across the world to mentor participants in mediation & negotiation. Thereafter, MNPP hosted Pakistan’s first & and only mediation & negotiation competition hosting 18 teams from all across Pakistan with international experts assessing the teams and providing valuable feedback.

International Centre for Dispute Resolution Lahore - ICDRL and ADR ODR International recently delivered another 6-Day Accredited Civil/Commercial Mediation Training Programme in collaboration with International Mediation and Arbitration Center (IMAC) and Ministry of Law & Justice in Islamabad.

Delivered by our distinguished international faculty, Rahim Shamji DDRS, Sarah Tarar, Dr Khaled H Chowdhury, Sonia Riaz Hussain and Ramla Baig, the training involved skill-based practical learning and coaching including comprehensive feedback and guidance throughout the course.

The highly intensive training programme was attended by members of the Parliament, Justices of the High Courts, senior government officials, representatives from academia, the legal fraternity, and the corporate sector.

Our Founder and Director ICDRL, Ms Sarah Tarar, recently led an impactful Foundation Training Workshop on Civil/Commercial Mediation organised by International Mediation and Arbitration Centre (IMAC) at Balochistan Judicial Academy (BJA). Mr Muhammad Qasim Mandokhail, ASC and part of leadership team of ICDRL, also trained alongside and provided practical insights.

Ms Tarar shared her expertise and experience with regard to various aspects of mediation, conflict resolution theories, mediation landscape in Pakistan, the process of mediation, global mediation standards, and practical role-playing exercises to enhance participants' skills in dispute resolution.

The delegates comprised the Judicial officers of Bakochistan. Grateful to IMAC and to the Balochsitan Judicial Academy and especially Mr Jan Muhammad Gohar (DG BJA) and Mr Aminullah Kasi (Director BJA) for their personal involvement and support and for being such gracious hosts.
