I, Advocate Rizwan Khan Chand, Joint Secretary, Karachi Division, National People’s Lawyers Forum (NPLF Karachi), hereby place on record my strongest condemnation of the alleged politically motivated and mala fide actions initiated against Mr. Ghulam Qadir Marri, Divisional President of the National People’s Party.
It is respectfully submitted that such actions, if undertaken on the basis of political considerations, are in blatant disregard of the principles of constitutionalism, rule of law, and the fundamental rights guaranteed under the Constitution. The use of state machinery for purposes of political victimization undermines democratic norms and erodes public confidence in legal and institutional frameworks.
I, therefore, call upon the Government to immediately cease any and all forms of political victimization, ensure due process of law, and uphold democratic principles by fostering tolerance and respect for political opposition.
This statement is issued in the interest of justice, transparency, and the preservation of democratic values. We reserve the right to pursue all lawful remedies available under the law against any actions that contravene constitutional protections.
