Justice served after 6 years! The courier company finally paid Rs. 195,000 to the affected consumer.
In 2019, a Karachi resident sent a mobile phone worth Rs. 145,000 via courier to Lahore, but it went missing due to the company's negligence. The consumer approached the Consumer Court, where Judge Javed Korejo held the courier company liable. The court ordered the company to pay Rs. 145,000 for the mobile, Rs. 25,000 as compensation, and Rs. 25,000 as fine, totaling Rs. 195,000.
The company appealed to the Sindh High Court, but it upheld the Consumer Court's decision. Today, a cheque was handed over to the affected consumer. Senior lawyers Khalid Waheed Khan and Irfan Mehboob represented the consumer in this case.
