The Sindh government has officially notified a minimum monthly wage of Rs. 40,000 for unskilled workers, effective from July 1, 2025.

The Sindh government has officially notified a minimum monthly wage of Rs. 40,000 for unskilled workers, effective from July 1, 2025. This revision applies to all industrial and commercial establishments in Sindh, both registered and unregistered. The notification also includes updated wages for semi-skilled, skilled, and highly skilled workers.
Here's a breakdown of the revised wage structure:
- Unskilled Workers: Rs. 40,000 per month.
- Semi-skilled Workers: Rs. 41,380 per month.
- Skilled Workers: Rs. 49,628 per month.
- Highly Skilled Workers: Rs. 51,745 per month.
- Minimum Hourly Wage: Rs. 192.
The Sindh Minimum Wages Board invited objections or suggestions related to the notification, with a 14-day deadline for stakeholders to submit feedback however after no objections filed by Employers and Establishment after 14 days now its implemented. The revised rates are aimed at easing the economic burden of inflation and promoting a dignified livelihood for the working class, according to the Provincial Labour Minister.
