You'd think the worst of your difficulties would be behind you after all the money you spent on your legal degree. Yet unfortunately, the challenges of becoming a lawyer never stop. You always seem to have a lot on your plate, from the long hours, running behind seniors, a very minimal stipend and to the disagreeable clients.
Below we list some tips to overcome significant obstacles you may face as a lawyer and offer advice on how to succeed in your career;
1. COMMITMENT:
When you first start your Law Practise, be committed, punctual , and patient. Being committed to your cause entails regularly appearing in courts, regardless of whether you have a case or not.
2-READINGS:
Next, begin reading reported judgements on a daily basis.Try to memorise even summarize and note down in your dairy the crux of each judgement you read, as well as the Principles that were discussed, the type of law that was interpreted, the learned counsel who argued each side, and other relevant information. It will help you understand new concepts and will enhance your legal reading skills.
3. KNOWLEDGE OF NEW ACTS:
In the third place, start reading Acts that you weren't taught about in Law College. This will broaden your understanding of the Acts. You can use even one Act to your advantage. A practitioner encounters many clients and challenges on a daily basis. Your grasp of the material will be improved by frequently encountering laws.
4.NEW LAWS:
Fourthly, make an effort to read one newspaper on a regular basis. Pay attention to the cases that are being brought before the Appex Courts. their verdicts, choices, and directives. It will assist you in learning about new laws. A single justification or excuse could have a detrimental effect on your clients.
5-GOING THROUGH OTHERS' CASES BEING ARGUED BEFORE DJs:
Fifth, seeing the courtrooms of District Judges can help you better comprehend procedures including taking Evidences, examination of witnesses. Counsel examining parties, witness' questing, Cross-examination, arguments,will help you in future for own cases of similar nature.
6.COMPONY WITH SENIOR LAWYERS:
Try to sit in the BAR Room with seniors and colleagues for a bit on the sixth. That will encourage you to accomplish your goal and aid in mind relaxation.
7.BELIEF IN ALLAH & YOURSELF:
Last but not least, you must firmly believe that Allah Almighty has assumed responsibility for bestowing rizk to you. Nobody can prevent this from happening to you. Trust your abilities n simply have faith in HIM and be dedicated to your objectives n Goals. Rizk will locate you on its own.
If one who has just entered the legal profession n does the aforementioned regularly, he/she can quickly achieve his goal of obtaining clients and money.
