The most important thing, all of you should know is that we have braced thunder storms and incessant rain; while most of Karachi was underwater including posh areas like Defence Housing Authority (DHA) there was no accumulation of water even on the roads; what to talk about water entering the houses. The other important point to note is; most of Karachi had no electricity for over ten days including DHA; we had uninterrupted electrical supply. There is no problem of water in this society, no load shedding (our area is exempt from load shedding because of 100% bill payment), no gas pressure problem. In short we live very peacefully in a secure environment. There is ample security and the place is governed by an Administrator of the rank of Air Commodore who is appointed by Air Headquarters. Entry/Exit is monitored and controlled by security guards and supervisors.

There are two types of houses in AFOHS. SD House (SDH) which is built on a 350Yds plot and Independent Houses (IH) built on a 500Yds plot.
