Here's a recent way we've been able to serve ASU's student body!

I often get the question, "What do you do in the summer?"
The summer is certainly a different pace than the rest of the school year- and I am grateful for that! The summer provides myself and our other BSM Staff opportunities to slow down, reflect, rest and look ahead.
However, one of the most important rhythms of our ministry happens during the summer- connecting with new students at ASU's New Student Orientation (NSO)! All incoming students attend a day-long event where they learn about campus life, register for classes and are welcomed into the ASU community. There are eight of these days throughout the summer. We've set up a BSM table at the four that have already occurred. Each time, we are able to talk with students and parents who are eager to get involved in a community of faith.
Another highlight of NSO has been our opportunity to thank the ASU Orientation Leaders. Every NSO is led by a hardworking group of upper-classmen who help students to connect on campus and instill school school spirit. Because of their enthusiasm and friendliness, students are excited to be a part of the ASU Community and excited to get involved on campus! During the most recent NSO we recognized the hard work these students put in and wanted to express our appreciation to them. We bought 10 gallons of tea from HteaO to give to these Orientation leaders. They were quick to express their gratitude for our small token of service to them.
Here are some ways you could continue to pray for the Angelo BSM during the summer:
Pray for us as we connect with students during the final four NSOs of the summer.
Pray for our New Student Orientation Leaders as they continue to lead students.
Pray that incoming students would be eager to get serve in a campus ministry and a local church.
