V&A Law joined the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Makati Chapter in its legal aid outreach at the Makati City Jail (Male Dormitory) last 11 May 2026, where its lawyers delivered a talk on the modes of release available to persons deprived of liberty and provided free legal consultations.

Representing the Firm were Partner Mark Leo Bejemino, who also serves as the Public Relations Officer of IBP Makati and Head of its Legal Education Committee, together with Winona Fajardo, Fritz Casama, Ira Sembrano, Ma. In observance of Women’s Month, V&A Law joined the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Makati Chapter in its legal aid outreach at the Makati City Jail Female Dormitory on March 11, 2026.

V&A Law’s delegation included Partner Mark Leo P. Bejemino, who also serves as the Public Relations Officer of IBP Makati and Head of its Legal Education Committee, together with eight lawyers from the Firm.

As part of the initiative, V&A Law’s lawyers delivered informative talks on gender sensitivity and key legal protections for women, including the Magna Carta of Women and the Bangkok Rules, or the United Nations Rules for the Treatment of Women Prisoners and Non-Custodial Measures for Women Offenders. The sessions aimed to raise participants’ awareness of their rights, available legal remedies, and the international standards that guide the treatment and protection of women in detention.

Following the talks, the Firm’s lawyers also provided free legal consultations to address the participants’ individual concerns.

Aligned with the spirit of Women’s Month, V&A Law is honored to support initiatives that empower women through knowledge of the law and reinforce the importance of dignity, protection, and equal rights for all.

V&A Law was pleased to host the ASEAN Golf Federation’s (AGF) Cocktails and Roundtable Discussions last March 5, 2026, at the Rainmakers Lounge as part of the inaugural Singapore-Philippines edition of the National Golf Association Leaders Invitational that was held from March 2-7, 2026, in Manila.

In line with the invitational’s theme, “Philippines and Singapore: Exchange Between Industry Leaders,” the cocktails brought together senior industry leaders and golf association representatives from Singapore who were joined by V&A Law’s lawyers for an evening of good food and drinks and meaningful conversations. Following welcome remarks from V&A Law Partner Mark Benjamin C. Yam, V&A Law Chairman and CEO Raoul R. Angangco led discussions on current geopolitical developments, their implications for the ASEAN region, and potential business opportunities together with AGF Chairman and Singapore Golf Association President Tan Chong Huat.

The cocktails preceded the invitational’s closing game at the historic Manila Golf and Country Club on March 6, 2026. It was an honor for V&A Law to provide a venue for the AGF delegation to strengthen ties with the Philippines, exchange perspectives, and foster dialogue, collaboration, and regional cooperation.
