Void vs. Voidable Marriage. Know the difference before it matters.
Not all marriages are treated the same under Philippine law.

📌 Void Marriage:
❌ Considered invalid from the very beginning
❌ Treated as if it never existed
✔️ Can be questioned anytime

📌 Voidable Marriage:
✔️ Valid and binding until annulled by a court
✔️ Can only be challenged by the injured party
✔️ Must be filed within a specific period

Key difference?
Void = “It never existed.”
Voidable = “Valid… until the court says otherwise.”

One is automatically void by law, the other requires annulment.
