Ibinahagi ni National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Atty. Melvin Matibag na naghahanda ang ahensya ng legislative framework para sa tinatawag na “age-gating,” na magtatakda ng access at paggamit ng social media platforms batay sa edad ng user.

Ayon kay Matibag, bahagi ito ng pagtugon ng NBI sa mga banta sa cyberspace, kabilang ang pag-monitor ng online information na maaaring may kaugnayan sa mga insidente ng mass shooting. NBI, MAY BAGONG IMPORMASYON SA UMANO’Y “GHOST PROJECT” SA DAVAO CITY

Patuloy na sinusuri ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang mga flood control project sa Davao City matapos makatanggap ng impormasyon at mga dokumentong posibleng tumutukoy sa mga ghost at substandard project.

Ayon kay NBI Director Atty. Melvin Matibag, beripikasyon ng mga dokumento, procurement process, aktuwal na proyekto, at pagsunod sa construction standards ang sentro ng imbestigasyon. Nakikipag-ugnayan din ang NBI sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) at iba pang kaugnay na tanggapan habang nagpapatuloy ang pangangalap ng ebidensya.

Binigyang-diin ni Matibag na hindi lamang Davao City ang sinusuri at bahagi ito ng mas malawak na imbestigasyon ng NBI sa mga posibleng iregularidad sa flood control projects sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa.

“Ebidensya ang tinitingnan natin,” diin ng NBI chief, kasabay ng panawagang iwasan muna ang espekulasyon habang hindi pa natatapos ang imbestigasyon.

NBI DIRECTOR MATIBAG JOINS SENATE INQUIRY ON ECONOMIC AFFAIRS, STRENGTHENS NBI SUPPORT FOR LEGISLATIVE EFFORTS

NBI Director Atty. Melvin A. Matibag took part in the Senate Committee on Economic Affairs’ Inquiry in Aid of Legislation, chaired by Senator Risa Hontiveros.

The inquiry brought together concerned government agencies and stakeholders as part of the Senate’s legislative review on matters involving the country’s economic affairs.

The NBI, under Director Matibag, continues to extend its expertise and law-enforcement support in legislative inquiries where its mandate and investigative capabilities are relevant.

NBI DIRECTOR ATTY. MELVIN A. MATIBAG AMONG AUTHORS OF THE REVISED PENAL CODE — CRIMINAL LAW BOOK 1

NBI Director Atty. Melvin A. Matibag took part in the formal signing of Act No. 3815: The Revised Penal Code — Criminal Law Book 1, a significant legal reference that examines and presents the provisions of Philippine criminal law.

Director Matibag is one of the authors of the book, alongside Prof. Ramir D. Malanog (J.D.), Atty. Bernardo M. Luceres, and Atty. Reynaldo P. Simangan.

The signing marks the culmination of their collaborative work in providing a comprehensive resource for the study and understanding of criminal law, particularly valuable to members of the legal profession, law enforcement, academe, and those engaged in the administration of justice.
