“If the profession can identify what entry-level lawyers truly need to know and do, then the design of legal education—and even the structure of the bar examination—can follow more logically.

“In other words, instead of designing education around an exam, the profession could begin by defining the competencies the exam is meant to measure.”

THIS REUNION 🥹

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, who is in the country for a state visit, on Wednesday, March 4, shared a heartfelt reunion with Ariel Galac, a former factory worker he helped more than three decades ago.

In 1992, Galac suffered a severe accident in a Korean factory, losing one arm. At the time, foreign workers often returned home without treatment or compensation. Lee, then a human rights lawyer, assisted Galac in seeking justice, securing medical care and compensation after a year-long process.

“Regardless of nationality, skin color, or language, the sweat we shed deserves respect,” Lee said in Korean, praising Galac’s journey of turning personal pain into hope for others.

Galac now advises overseas workers and continues to inspire those facing hardships abroad.

Lee ended his post with warm words: “It was a pleasure to meet you, Ariel Galac. Ingat”
