Akala natin, kapag walang “YES” button, bawal nang i-process ang personal information. But here’s the catch: consent is only ONE lawful basis for processing. 🔐

Under Section 12 of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), processing may be lawful under other circumstances—such as when it is necessary for a contract, required by law, or needed to protect vital interests.

💡 Hindi lahat ng processing kailangan ng YES button. Pero lahat ng processing needs a lawful basis.

“Alam ba natin kung ano ang lawful basis ng bawat processing activity natin?” 🤔
